Eligibility: AHPRA Registered Nurse, Doctor, Dentist
In Australia, only Medical Doctors and Registered Nurses that are practicing with a current AHPRA registration can administer cosmetic injectables. Medical and healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists, enrolled and registered nurses) consider becoming certified cosmetic injectors and looking to expand their skill set and careers in the field of cosmetic nursing or medical aesthetics.
The course is provided through supervised structured face-to-face delivery. It will be delivered over 3 days including theory, Anti-Wrinkle Injections, dermal filler injections demonstration and simulation training, and Anti-Wrinkle Injections and dermal filler injections practical sessions.
Medical aesthetic training has become increasingly popular not only in Australia, but it has also become popular worldwide. The discipline of aesthetics nursing is quickly expanding across the globe, with non-invasive procedures such as cosmetic injectables, dermal filler, laser, and body shaping due to the demand of clients.
Our cosmetic nursing foundation course is aimed to provide nurses, doctors, and dentists with advanced knowledge of non-invasive procedures, such as cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers.
This course also aims to train nurses in the cosmetic field for providing evidence-based, holistic nursing care that reflects current best practices.
The AIMA Training & Clinical Cosmetic Injectables program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training with cosmetic injectables. The content provides a comprehensive look into facial structure, the various drugs used for cosmetic injectables, and the most frequently encountered issues and any adverse reactions associated with these treatments.
You will get to work side by side with your trainers to treat real patients under the watchful eye of clinical nurse trainers while learning the ins and outs of providing care. Participants will learn how to evaluate, arrange, and treat patients using Schedule 4 Medications for aesthetic procedures.
Once a nurse has completed the training in cosmetic injectables, they will be given a personalized development plan that details all the procedures that AIMA has determined are appropriate and safe for a cosmetic nurse to undertake. An AIMA Cosmetic Nurse will only provide care to a patient if it falls within the parameters of their Individualized professional development plan and professional practice area.
